What treatments where used in this case?

This case required a number of treatment types: Metal free dental crowns, porcelain veneers, bridges and Invisalign teeth straightening of the lower front teeth.

How long did the treatment take?

The alignment of the lower front teeth to allow the best position for the new veneers took around 3 months, the remaining crowns, veneers took around 6 weeks to complete.

Is teeth straightening always needed before veneers?

No, in many cases the teeth are already in a good position to allow this treatment. In this case the teeth needed to be moved to allow the best result and minimum preparation of the lower teeth.

Were there temporary teeth?

The shape of the new teeth were planned on a ‘diagnostic model’ to show the patient the new planned teeth shape BEFORE starting. This shape was used for the temporary teeth so that we knew for sure that the shape and bite were good before the permanent teeth were made.

How was the ‘shade’ of white decided?

We used a ‘shade guide’ to compare to the existing teeth. The temporary teeth were made the shade we thought was right to try at home before the final shade was decided.

How can you make crowns and veneers last a long time?

Like all dental restorations a combination of: good oral hygiene, daily flossing and a low sugar diet make dental restorations last as long as possible.

How close was the final result to the plan?

The actual and planned tooth position are near identical in this case - aided by the very good wear (22 hours a day+)

What were the payment options?

Pay in advance, pay in instalments at each appointment or via dental finance between 0-48 months (interest free up to 12 months).
